The Sohal Tang, scientifically known as Acanthurus sohal, is a marine ornamental fish native to the warm waters of the Red Sea and the northwestern Indian Ocean, specifically:

• Red Sea
• East coast of Sudan, Eritrea, Egypt, Saudi Arabia
• Gulf of Aden
• Coral reefs in Yemen and Oman.
• Some islands of the Maldives.
